Our newest addition to the family. Yes, we are very excited (not for gas prices of course). After wondering how to let Kurt know we needed to borrow Dad's suburban all summer, we figured it was time to get our own. It did help that Karlene spotted this sweet deal and after test driving, checking the carfax report, and having an inspection done by a qualified mechanic, we knew it was destiny. Now that fuel has hit an all time high, we are looking forward to many fun and wonderful family trips such as Farmington Pond, Mueller Park, or heck, even as far as up to the "B". Who knows the trip possibilities are endless.
p.s. for the spec junkies: 2000 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 (3/4 ton w/4 wheel drive) 6.0 litre very fuel economic engine. Needs 4 tires and the rotors machined. Other than that, seems to be in good shape. The dealer (Los Primos Auto Sales [bilingual thank goodness]) purchased it at an auction. It came from California with 65000 miles. With everything shining like a new penny, the tranny should go out by Christmas. Did I just say that out loud?

Happy sweet lovin' birthday! Karlene's favorite present (besides the gift of my love of course) was watching me labor and sweat to dig a hole and finally plant a tree in the front yard.

Happy Mother's Day. This sweet woman has given me 6 beautiful children and more love and happiness than one guy deserves.

Granite Flats (up American Fork Canyon) for some of Mom's dutch oven potatoes (not never-ending), roast, and cake. Oh ya, Pete and Melissa invited us up on account of their anniversary.

Memorial weekend out in the west desert at Simpson Springs. We packed in as much as you can on an overnighter. Motorcycles, guns, geocaching, hunting for geodes, and plenty of dirt, sand and fire. It was awesome!

A morning ride out to the desert with Uncle Nathan

Memorial Day BBQ. We had to eat inside due to the poopy weather (no not you Poopey).

So today's your birthday...

Dad and Mom's last few days in the good old U.S. of A.
